An Awesome Afternoon in the South

The scenery made these photos so easy to set up and take. Beautiful trees, lush green grass, flowing water with branches hanging over it ... nothing could have been more perfect. I love the way the sun and shade mottled the first shot. Not normally what you want in a photo, but I love the way it turned out. The cypress tree in the last shot is probably the biggest one I have ever seen. Towards the top it was cracked and hollowed out. There were some spectacular spiders and grasshoppers living on the tree. We had to shoosh them around to the other side so we get this last shot. Fun afternoon! I am ready to go back and enjoy it some more. Maybe my daughter won't try to dump me off the back of the 4-wheeler next time :)
