Working Girl

As of this past Thursday, I am the only unemployed person in the household :). Kali started her first job. She is a hostess at a local BBQ restaurant called Johnny's. Kali was so excited when Mrs. Kelley asked if she was ready to start work. This is her official work uniform, minus her name badge. Kali had not yet received it when we took these pictures. Her first morning on the job went great! I asked Kali over lunch how much she was getting paid. She started smiling and said she had no idea, but it didn't matter anyway, that she didn't care :). How many people can say that about their job/salary?

I think I sat behind your beautiful daughter this morning in church. I wanted to ask her if her mother had a blog called the Shadow of the Cross, but thought if it wasn't her she would think I was nuts. I think it was her though.

When my guys started working at Ace they didn't know what they were getting paid either. Didn't find out until they got their 1st paycheck. Isn't that funny?
I'm glad she's enjoying what she's doing.
Thanks also for your kind comments on my blog. Hugs!

Unemployed? Certainly not. Employed by the Supreme Boss in the most rewarding position ever!

What wonderful posts. But you know I'm waiting to see which homecoming dress she chose. My 8yo dd bought her Daddy Daughter Dance dress last night. It's mature, but so cute--especially when she twirls.

Wait, now I'm seeing the connection that led you to find my blog...I see Nana's and Wife and Mom's comments, and I also see those on Timeless and Treasured Photography, my friend Heather's blog. Small world.
