The Beauty of the Cross

The Communicators For Christ Masters Conference was held in Austin, Texas. Classes and activities were held at Crestview Baptist Church. As you know, I am always looking for unusual crosses to show here at The Shadow of the Cross. Well, Crestview had some beautiful ones and here they are.

This cross is actually photoshopped a bit. The photo below shows what it really looked like, hanging over the choir pit. I literally had to climb over some construction stuff, paint cans, and a bunch of other junk to get to it.
They also had all these awesome stained-glass windows.

Yes, these crosses are beautiful. When I see the cross, I see Christ. I see what He did for me. I see forgiveness, and love, and a future. What do you see?

I see that the cross is empty just as the grave is empty! I serve a risen, living Savior!

Thanks for the great photos.

Beautiful crosses and stained glass windows.

I see the empty cross, the sacrifice He made for us, and the assurance of eternal life.

We have stained glass windows in our church, but they are very traditional.

In answer to your question on my blog - yes, I digi-scrap 95% of the time. I make some cards and a few hybrid projects, but I love my photoshop!

Such a beautiful post, and yes, I see the ultimate sacrifice, and God's hope for all of us to turn to him and accept the priceless gift of our eternal life.

I also see forgiveness when I see the cross. I wear a gold cross around my neck as a reminder of the price that was paid for my sins.

The stained glass photos are really beautiful. I love stained glass.
