Merry Christmas, Kali

Quite some time ago our dear friend Pam took Kali out for her first photo shoot. Neither Kali nor myself knew what to expect. What we got were some wonderful photos that Pam took of Kali in a kimono and some in jeans, boots, and cowboy hat. You can see some of those pictures here on Pam's blog.

Couple that with another dear friend named Maryn, who has some awesome talents in art, and you get to see a beautiful painting that Maryn made for Kali's Christmas. I couldn't wait, so I went ahead and gave the painting to Kali tonight. She loved it! Maryn did a wonderful job. Here is Pam's photo and Maryn's rendition of it. The Japanese figures spell out the words to John 3:16. You can see some of Maryn's other work here.

  1. Wow--what a nice surprise to click over to! Kali has always been one of my favorite subjects. Maryn is a very talented lady and I'm sure that Kali is so happy to have that piece from her.

  11. Thank you so much for stopping by and reading the Christmas story I posted. There are several others if you would like to scroll down to see them.

I think your daughter is beautiful! What great artwork and photography.

May I ask about how you homeschool your daughter? I am just now partial schooling my 13 yo (she takes math at the school). Are you using a boxed curriculum? What are your days like?

Thank you for listening to my nosy questions. I'm just interested in what others are doing.

    Thanks,
    Elizabeth
