The Hills Are Alive

When we flew into Texas, everything looked brown from the sky. All the trees looked barren and dead. Of course, while we were there the temps ranged from the 70's to the 20's. I thought I'd share photos of some dead trees - :O) - and of some of the flora that we managed to find.
This tree wasn't totally devoid of leaves. I thought the trunk was interesting. We managed to find lots of beautiful scenery in Austin. Flower shots are my favorite. I hope you enjoy looking at my photos.

I love the beautiful pictures. I especially love the white iris with the creepy bug on it. The flowers are So pretty. Makes me all the more ready for Spring.

Beautiful flowers. Hopefully the trees are not all dead. They will probably be full of leaves in the spring. I love the way trees do that. Raking leaves is no fun though.
I like your cross pictures from the earlier post. I love crosses too for the same reason you do.

Beautiful and colorful. Thanks for checking up on my blog. There was lots of storm damage here in Louisville but we were pretty fortunate that nothing got damaged by the falling branches. Many people around us weren't so lucky. We lost our electricity for a couple of days. There are still people here that don't have electricity and the electric company says it could be 7-10 days before all of the electricity is restored. We must keep them in our thoughts and prayers. I will have a post tonight with some photos of the snow & ice. Even though it caused a lot of havoc around here, it was absolutely beautiful to see the sun glinting off the trees (when the sun was actually out).
