You Capture - Your Choice

Photobucket
Photobucket
You Capture's theme this week was Your Choice. Since I spent 4 days at one of the Disney World resorts this week, I thought I'd show you some pictures I took close to sunset my last night there.
Photobucket
I stayed at the Disney All Star Music Resort. It's one of the value resorts and it is geared towards family fun.
Photobucket
The weather was hot! hot! hot! 98 degrees during the day. I realize some of you are in locations where it's close to winter time. It is here in Florida, too. It's just our winters are a bit warmer than yours :).
Photobucket
All these photos were taken within about 5 minutes of each other. The sun was making a quick getaway.
Photobucket
I decided on a spur-of-the-moment trip. I didn't even go to the Disney parks, because it was so hot. I "discovered" IKEA - yay!!!! and just enjoyed the Music Resort. Right now Florida residents can get a room for $50.00 a night. On the Disney property! What a deal!
Photobucket
Do you see the moon?
Photobucket
Each building is decorated with a different musical theme. This particular shot is of the Jazz section. Did you notice the row of musicians blowing their horns around the top of the building?
Photobucket
And I even spent time in the pool :). Hey, it's Florida and it's 98 degrees. What more incentive do I need?
Photobucket
Los Tres Caballeros! Anyone remember that cartoon - lol! What a fun trio :).
Photobucket
And Ariel, Flounder, and Sebastian were located at the other pool - the Piano Pool - so named because it is shaped like a grand piano. Sorry - no photos. I didn't swim in it, so I didn't think it was important - although now I think an aerial shot would have been cool. No pun intended :) honest!

Sam, Shannon - Here's Some More :)

Photobucket
I was talking with my nephew Sam on the cell phone today and he told me that he and his wife enjoyed the picture I posted of Cedar Key. (See my last post.) I laughed because I only had time to edit those two shots before my mom got sick and I had to leave home.
Photobucket
Well, I am home for the night and thought I'd post a few more. This is the street along the waterfront of Cedar Key. (Actually the street is shown in the next photo, but I am too tired to fix it.)
Photobucket
Many of the shops have closed up since we were last there. I was really disappointed.
Photobucket
There's always something incredible to see down by the waterfront.
Photobucket
This is my favorite place - hands down! I love Frog's Landing! The sign is a little worse for wear since our last trip, but nothing had changed with the menu!
Photobucket
The decorations are awesome and definitely in keeping with the area.
Photobucket
Except maybe for this guy - lol!
Photobucket
This is their staircase leading up to the second floor where Frog's is located. (Actually, I took this shot coming out - so it is the staircase leading down from Frog's to street level :).)
Photobucket
I love the colors . . .
Photobucket
. . . and all the lines. And the crab bisque! And the chicken/walnut/grape/raisin/pineapple/cranberry salad. Yummo!
Photobucket
Then there are other restaurants and empty buildings.
Photobucket
Photobucket
As you move along the waterline, you start to see places like this. Little houses dotting the waterways here and there. Fishing shacks - really not much more to them than that.
Photobucket
It was a calm day as you can tell by the reflections in the water.
Photobucket
And every once in awhile, you get the chance to see something incredible. Like this. Cedar Key - in the summer. It's the place to be.
Photobucket
This is also my You Capture post for this week. We were able to post photos of anything special to us. To see some more - just visit I Should Be Folding Laundry.

Shooting in the flower field is hard work! You have to pick flowers. You have to play with flowers. You have to sit in flowers, run through flowers, play with bubbles in the flowers. You have to be beautiful in the flowers. You have to smile and obey and look this way and that way, all in the flowers. Isn't it nice that once you've done all that and you're just tuckered out ... you can grab hold of your teddy bear and snuggle up for a little beauty rest?

Photobucket

(And, since all these flowers are yellow - this is also going to be my You Capture post for this week. You can check out other yellow shots here.)

I ♥ Faces, Solar Flare Challenge

The challenge this week at I ♥ Faces is "solar flare." Yes, I know I'm supposed to include a photo with a human face, but I really liked the way this one turned out! So, I decided to share it anyway :O). Gus and Rascal eating as the sun was getting ready to set. To check out the other solar flare shots (the ones with human faces), visit I ♥ Faces.

And, I'm going to cheat and also count this as my You Capture entry for sunsets :). To check out other sunrises/sunsets, just visit I Should Be Folding Laundry here.

A Visit to the Ranch

A couple days ago, Jason and Bobbie came out to eat lunch and visit the ranch. Once we got in past the horses, we fed treats to Mona and Hershey.

They seriously love treats! And they will eat treats as long as you will feed them.

Bobbie was funny. When we told her you could lay on the donkeys, or hug on them, she just plopped right onto Mona's back! The donkeys love the attention! They are so sweet and loving!

Somewhere about here, Bobbie wanted to know if Mona and Hershey knew any tricks. I told her I wanted to teach Hershey how to walk through a hula hoop. So, Kali went out to the car and got my hula hoop that I use as a prop on photo shoots, and we began.

The first thing you do is to select your target. Sorry, Hershey, but you are the smallest and most likely to fit!

Next, you terrorize, I mean catch your target so you can teach her this really cool trick!

Just look at my baby run! :O) Cracks me up!

Hershey: Save me, Mona!

You may have to practice a little diversionary tactic while your partner gets set up with a handful of treats.

Zero in on your target . . . .

. . . . bribe them with treats . . . .

. . . then begin the process!

The thought is to "treat" your way through, one body part at a time!

First leg through . . . .

. . . . second leg and torso through . . . .

. . . . come on, Hershey! . . . .

. . . . and, she's through the hoop! Whoo!Hoo! (Not as easy as it looks here, but not as hard as I figured it would be, either!)

After all that hard work, you need a little down time to relax. I know! Let's wrestle Jason to the ground! hahaha! Sorry, son! Actually, Jason can give as good as he gets, I just didn't get a picture of him doing it. I was too busy laughing!

Mona: Hey, Heshey! I think that Bobbie-girl is OK! Look at her put a good one on Jason!

Gus: I wonder if Jason needs help??? Neigh! He can handle it! but I'm here just in case!

Rascal: I don't care, just stay away from my food! and that means you, too, Mona!

Well, everyone's been loved on, played with, hugged, kissed, petted, fed, and treated! even tricked!

So let's head on home! It's time to call it a day.
