At Ignite, 2012, the Institute For Cultural Communicators welcomed the participants with one awesome simulation.
What do you need for an awesome simulation? A great plotline and some incredible interns, prospective interns, and
recommended staff assistants!
You start with a welcoming committee :),
some assistants,
some crazy makeup,
and some crazy characters.
You rehearse your storyline and get into position . . .
. . . and take advantage of a photo opp while you wait for the students to be escorted in.
Beef up your welcoming committee/security force . . .
. . . and get ready!
Wait a minute! He's one of the good guys!
Did I mention the crazy makeup?
Well, you've got to have some crazy hair, too!
Then, bring on the guinea pi ...uh, i mean, bring on the students!
Great job planning this activity, interns!

Ladies 50's Luncheon at ICC's Winter Ignite
What's that you said??? A ladies luncheon??? I haven't a thing to wear!
(The 50's Ladies Luncheon. Sweet! Let's get started with a little 50's lingo!)
No threads to wear? Well, maybe this lady could help you get in the mix with some lid advice :).
Gotta be hip with the grooviest peepers!
Have you picked out a sharp set of earth pads yet?
Time to get all dolled up!
We set a cool blanket . . .
. . . and some rockin' bee sticks.
Cast an eyeball on these getups :).
The joint was cranked!
Zoot suits were far out!
Hip cats dug the vibes. (Hahahaha! Mrs. Moon is a hip cat :))
Hangin' with the cool cats!
These two rocked a little jitterbug.
Everyone had a blast at the bash! It was like, crazy man!

ICC 2011 The Future Is Now Evening Program
The 2011 Institute For Cultural Communicators Intern Team with the author and director of the 2011 The Future is Now Evening Program.
Yes, they are quite a serious, professional bunch :).
Their mission is to reach as many students across the United States as they can,
and equip them to get out the message of Jesus Christ through communications skills.
At the parents' commissioning weekend, we got to attend the national debut of the Evening Program.
One of the literary pieces they presented was Cindermaid - the original version of Cinderella.
(A birdie in the tree.)

The children's story this year is Barrie's Peter Pan.

Wendy, with Smee and Captain Hook. In the background, lost boys and a really cute pirate - who happens to be my daughter Kali :).

The last piece they presented was called Hope and Despair.

It was a great program and the interns did a marvelous job!

God has much in store for this group this year. Praying for the team as they are touring across the country, teaching classes and presenting this program. For more information on a conference in your area, you can contact me or you can see the ICC website here.
