I am having massive problems with my computer this week, making my post extremely late. I didn't think I'd be able to post at all, so now is better than not at all :O). I know the rules are to share a photo, but with my computer issues that isn't an option until Tuesday.
'Sweet' to us is homeschooling our precious daughter. This is our 10th year and we wouldn't have it any other way. I love this cartoon (and had it saved on a CD, so I am posting from a laptop.) For those of you who follow my blog you already know Kali and I have spent many weeks this winter on the road traveling through the southeastern states with her speech and debate conferences and tournaments. One of the things I love best about homeschooling is the freedom to pursue Kali's interests. There is no way she could pursue speech and debate to a national level if she was in public school. At least not in our public school. And not in a totally Christian atmosphere. I love it! I love homeschooling! I love my daughter and the Godly young lady she is becoming! If you want to see some more "sweet" shots, head on over to Beth's page and check them out. If you want to join us, next week's challenge is 'family'.

Love the cartoon. Kali is really a sweet girl and I am sure home schooling helps with that. You are a blessed mom too.
I love this post. The cartoon is great--I'd love to share it with others. How true about your being able to let your daughter pursue her other interests at the same time of her schooling.
Hope you're having a good Memorial Day and that you get your computer problems taken care of soon.
Nana - thanks! we love you, too :O)
Heidi - please share it - that's awesome!
Hi Alice, I totally admire all you ladies who homeschool - it is so inspirational, especially to those of us living outside the US where it is seldom seen, and always raises an eyebrow. I think it is the most perfect way to be able to live the dream with your child and raise them in the LIFE you want - a whole and complete vision of what a fulfilling and Christian education can look like. Women like you are my hero!!

Computer issues yet you persevered to post. Yeah, Alice! :-)
Great cartoon & yes, life is sweet.
Hugs to you!
love this cartoon, I had read it awhile ago and then threw it out so glad you had it:-) It is so true. And confirms what I know we are doing is right.
Alice,

First of all I'm enjoying the music you have on your sidebar! =)
Second, i love the cartoon! It's perfect! I was homeschooled growing up and plan on homeschooling my kids one day.
My family is living in Northern Ireland for a year and they have Health Visitors that come out to your house and check on the kids. Yuck, i hate it! Talk about an invasion of privacy! But anyway, the point is that she kept encouraging me to put my three year old into a nursery so he could socialize. It really bugged me!
But anyway, that's neat that your daughter is into speech and debate. My younger brother was really into that and he learned sooo much from it. My mom still helps out with the speech club even though he's graduated now.
Wow, sorry this comment was so long! It's great to meet you!
PS. Do you mind if i copy the cartoon? I'll link it back to you.
melissa, yes, please share the cartoon. anyone who wants to may do so. i'll send you a reply to your homeschooling message when i get my computerS back :O)
This is a great cartoon! :)
