I ♥ Faces Pet Challenge

Photobucket
The photo challenge this week at I ♥ Faces was a choice of a birthday shot or a pet shot. I decided to go with the pet category. Thankfully their rules read that your photo doesn't have to be of a pet, it can be of any animal, so I thought about my Lowry Park Zoo shots. I decided to enter a picture of this regal bird. He's a symbol of freedom in our country. He is the bald-headed eagle. What you can't see in this shot, was this bird had only one wing. I was reminded that with all the things that weight us down on a daily basis, we can either sit on a branch like this beautiful bird - or we can soar. We can pick ourselves up and move on and upwards. To check out other awesome entries, head on over to I ♥ Faces.

What a great shot!! I think if I had one of these living in my backyard I would have no problem with the many mice living under our shed, in our stone wall, etc. Making it very difficult to weed!!!
