The theme this week at You Capture is nature. I spent some time at the assisted living residence my mom lives at, just walking the grounds and taking pictures. Those are the shots I'm sharing today as my You Capture post.
My mom lives in a beautiful place. This next picture was taken at a lake near our home at sunset. I was playing around with solar flare and I liked the way this one turned out.
I leave you with two cartoons. My all-time favorite cartoon character is Garfield. I had these cartoons saved on my computer and thought they fit with the topic 'nature.'
The last two days here in Florida have been rain-free. Before that, it rained literally every day for about two weeks. Driving, deluging, flooding, wash away your driveway rain. Ugh!

Your captures are just beautiful. Thank you so much for your kind words on my post.
I love the detail of the purple flower (the 5th picture). Beautiful!
Drowning in Florida with you, but I pulled up the weather report today on the internet, and there was absolutely NO SIGN of rain. First day for us in a long long time. Very nice captures of nature.
The bird is amazing and the flowers are beautiful but my hear belongs to to the squirrel!
You did awesomely with these! I love the one with the squirrel especially!
I love the bird one. And the cartoon has me cracking up. I used to live in South Fl and more than one rain free day mat just be a miracle.
I love the flowers that you chose to shoot! It's been raining a ton here in CO too!
Wow Alice!! These are SO good. I love all the flowers and the squirrel is super cute! :) Also, the solar one is cool - how did you take that?

Beautiful shots :) And thank you so much for helping me with my deleting dilemma.
Great shots! I really like the squirrel!
I love your captures! I really love the hydrangea. I don't have the desire to maintain my garden to get blue ones, so mine are pink!
And I love your shots on that wedding! The orange dresses are beautiful, and the couple looks so happy and in love.
Beautiful pictures!! I love the bokeh that you captured, as well. :)

Have you been enjoying the sunny weather? My trip back from Panama City was just gorgeous!! Got to cool off for a bit in my friend's pool today!! I really do think that living here is a holiday in the sun...hence the name of my blog!!
Have a great weekend, Alice,
Love 'n hugs,
Becky
OK, your mom does live in a beautiful place. I loved these. My favorite has to be the first one. Those ugly, dainty toes on the water just made me smile! The perfect toes for the job!!!
I took a peek at the wedding photos in the previous post as well ... really good shots. Beautiful!!!
Great nature shots this week! Sorry I'm a little slow making the rounds. Hey, you asked about which macro lens I used. Canon EF-S60mm f/2.8 Macro USM.
